St Margaret's Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Ward Administrator to join their team. This role is based in Taunton, Somerset.

You will join us on a part time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £11,262.11 per annum.

About the role:

We currently have a vacancy for a Ward Administrator within our In-patient Unit. Our Ward Administrators are invaluable to our team, patients and their carers.

They provide proactive, professional, and confidential administration support to ensure the efficient running of the inpatient unit, whilst accommodating the needs and requirements of the wider MDT team.

Working hours are Monday to Friday with the occasional need to support bank holidays.

As a caring, enthusiastic person, you will thrive on being part of a patient focused team. You will have the ability to work in a demanding role, which requires a high level of self-organisation. You will work autonomously to prioritise your workload but be part of a supportive MDT team.


Responsibilities as our Ward Administrator will include:

  • Effectively assessing, planning and facilitating the efficient provision of all administrative needs arising from the Nursing and Clinical teams.
  • Monitoring administrative procedures and systems and, in collaboration with colleagues, providing expertise and guidance on updates that will ensure compliance with best practice.
  • Delivering a robust and accurate support service for booking Bank and Agency staff cover, including accurately recording information.
