St Margaret's Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Community Fundraiser to join our team. This role is based in Yeovil.

You will join us on a full time basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£28,000 per annum.

We're a busy, thriving fundraising team of 8 with a clear vision for the future and a drive to succeed.

Everyone has their own niche so you'll be able to bring your skills to the role and really make it your own.

If you have creative suggestions, we want to hear them and we'll work collaboratively together to make them happen. Our campaigns are growing year-on-year and you will be able to
get involved in some prolific projects.

you'll be part of a welcoming, community minded charity. Our mission is to provide excellent specialist palliative care for patients and support to their families. Everyone here contributes and has a part to play towards our goal.

What can you expect to be doing?


As a Community Fundraiser, you will be an ambassador for St Margaret's, playing a vital role in
delivering our exciting new fundraising strategy.

At the heart of that strategy is providing a first class supporter experience - that's where you come in.

Building relationships in our local community, you will deliver an agreed net income across a range of engaging community led events, initiatives, and campaigns.

You will cover Yeovil and surrounding areas such as Ilminster, Crewkerne, Wincanton, Wells, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet and Sherbourne.

The brilliant thing about this role is that you will be able to see your work make a noticeable impact on the community.


Your day to day work will involve:

  • Assisting with the delivery of three pivital campaigns across the year: Wear it Yellow, Glorious Gardens, and Christmas Tree Collection.
  • Creating tailored, personalised communications for supporters, ensuring they are are fully supported and engaged in their journey with the hospice.
  • Engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, from local businesses to rotary groups, churches or individuals undertaking fundraising on our behalf.
  • Working closely with our Community Partnerships Manager and collaboratively with colleagues to ensure opportunities are not missed and that income potential is maximised.
  • Developing and nurturing a strong network of volunteers, raising the profile of the hospice, and motivating others to join our community of fundraisers.
