Main duties of the job
On appointment you will have the opportunity to join the Trust wide consultant network as well as having access to peer support from colleagues here in East Sussex.
You will work with other community services in East Sussex including High Weald, Lewes and Havens and Hastings ATS, Early Intervention in Psychosis and East Sussex Rehabilitation services. There are separate community services for patients with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of dementia (Memory assessment and living well with dementia teams in Eastbourne and Hastings, although HWLH currently provide a MAS service from the ATS)
The Trust operates a Quality Improvement methodology which is encouraged to be used by all staff. There are exciting opportunities to be trained in QI and undertake QI projects. This post is one example of the commitment of the Trust to develop better provision for the Eastbourne and surrounding areas and the families and carers using the service. There are also opportunities to develop your special interest teaching or clinical and other research through Sussex University and Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
