Description
Responsible for project management of procurement activities (value engineering and sustainability projects, continuous improvement initiatives such as supplier development, and commercial tenders).
Will collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to gain support and ensure delivery of desired results on time in full.
Pipeline of activity – Support the delivery of the Sustainable Value Engineering pipeline by driving the completion of approved projects to agreed timelines.
Create buy-in – Contribute to project scoping, business cases, presentations, and risk assessments to support SVE project prioritisation and approval.
Project execution – Take ownership of project execution and completion, collaborating with procurement, stakeholders, and suppliers to manage on-time in full delivery.
This includes full end-to-end project management, from scope and risk assessment to trial sign-off and financial and sustainable savings validation.
Scoping new opportunities – Collaborate with packaging suppliers and stakeholders to scope technical opportunities related to sustainability, value engineering, and continuous improvement.
Scoped projects will be added to the SVE Pipeline, pitched to a Gate committee, and assigned internal resource when approved and prioritised.
Supplier Performance Management (SPM) – Support the SPM programme by ensuring stakeholder input, organising and analysing supplier performance data, and triggering supplier improvement and/or development opportunities.
Continuous improvement (external) – Lead cross functional project teams to deliver supplier performance improvement and/or development projects. Continuous improvement (internal) – Assist procurement and stakeholders by providing project management expertise to solve prioritised business issues.Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of driving projects to completion within agreed timelines. They will excel in creating buy-in for projects through scoping, business case development, and risk assessment. Ownership of project execution, including collaboration with procurement, stakeholders, and suppliers, is essential.
They will lead cross-functional teams to drive external supplier performance improvement projects while also providing internal support for business issue resolution.
