Tax Analyst (Inside IR35)


Role:
Contract role until end of Dec 22 (possible for extension in 2023)


Location:
Farnborough


Hours:
Full Time (37.5 hours)


Rate:
Up to £252.50 per day Umbrella/Ltd

As the Tax Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Assist the Direct Tax Manager with the calculation of quarterly corporation tax instalment payments.
  • Support the Indirect Tax Manager with the completion and review of the UK & Irish VAT returns, and other Indirect Tax related reporting including Air Passenger Duty and Plastic Packaging Tax
  • Manage VAT / tax queries raised by the business
  • Work with the Indirect and Direct Tax managers, and the Finance teams across the UK group, to ensure that VAT and Tax considerations of projects are considered, and advice implemented
  • Identify and report significant, entitylevel risks which could have a material impact on the company, as part of the quarterly risk reporting process
  • Continuously look for opportunities to review, challenge and improve the efficiency of processes, whilst identifying and mitigating tax governance deficiencies
You should have the following skills/experiences/competencies as the Tax Analyst:

  • qualification as chartered tax advisor / chartered accountant or University (Master/Bachelors) degree (Business, Economy & Commerce)
  • Indepth knowledge of tax regulations as they affect the automotive industry in UK and Ireland would be preferred
  • Task orientated, organised, and motivated selfstarter who is able to work off their own initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confident in presenting in a clear and concise manner. Able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and team skills in an intercultural work area is essential
