Technical Administrator
Bryans Salads are currently recruiting for a Technical Administrator to join our rapidly expanding site in Tarleton, PR4 6LJ.

Bryans Salads Ltd is a third-generation family business based in the rural moss lands in Tarleton, Lancashire.


We predominantly specialize in washed, ready to eat sliced lettuce and salad leaf, we also produce high quality ready to cook vegetable packs and salad bowls, with or without added protein and vegetables, for the catering and food service industry among others.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Technical Administrator role involves various responsibilities related to data management, supplier oversight, pest control, complaint handling, documentation control, non-conformance investigations, traceability exercises, audit participation, and general support to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality products.


Data Management and Reporting:

  • Capture, analyse, and report technical data to improve and maintain customer and internal data requirements.
  • Generate KPI trending reports to track progress against business objectives.

Supplier Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of company requirements for supplier approval and monitoring.
  • Maintain uptodate supplier information and manage supplier matrices.
  • Log and address instances of supplier nonconformities.

Pest Control Oversight:

  • Manage the online pest control system and ensure timely action by relevant personnel.

Customer Complaint Handling:

  • Log, investigate, and respond to customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Trend complaints as required and provide feedback to customers.
  • Communicate complaints to the production team and attend meetings to discuss resolutions.

Quality Manual Administration:

  • Administer quality manual policies, procedures, and result documents.

Document Control Management:

  • Manage the site document control system and ensure the log is updated regularly.

Non-Conformance and Root Cause Investigations:

  • Assist in all nonconformance and root cause investigations.
  • Ensure logs are updated, and all actions are closed out effectively.

Traceability Exercises:

  • Oversee the completion of traceability exercises with the QA team and conduct exercises as necessary.

Support for Safe Product Delivery:

  • Support the process of providing safe and legal products to customers.

Independence and Assistance:

  • Work independently without supervision.
  • Assist the Quality or Technical Manager upon request.

Audit Participation:

  • Actively participate in various audits including GMP, hygiene, internal, and external audits.

General Responsibilities:

  • Fulfil any other duty or responsibility required by the organization within reason.


By effectively managing these responsibilities, you will contribute to maintaining and improving the quality and safety standards of the products, ensuring compliance with regulations, and meeting customer requirements.


KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS

  • Previous experience of working within a fastpaced environment is essential, preferably within short shelf life, RTE, chilled food products.
  • Understanding of HACCP based systems and principles.
  • Experience of dealing with customers, confidence is a key trait for this role.

  • Excel Proficient
