We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate needs to take the safety of our employees as their main priority.
We are not able to offer sponsorship visas and UK working experience of no less than 5 years is essential.
Support the business as the lead in Health and Safety on site.Champion Health and Safety throughout the BusinessUndertake health and safety risk assessments on general business activities, the use of machinery and hazardous substance.
Create and review safe systems of work and procedures for health and safetyCoordinate accident and near miss investigation processesReview, update and maintain the sites Health and Safety policy in line with legislationCoordinate the supply and issuing of PPECreate and lead worker Health and Safety forumsCarry out site Health and Safety audits and act on the outcome of these auditsCarry out reviews and give Health and Safety guidance on any project undertaken by the businessWork towards an ISO Health and Safety accreditationMaintain appropriate records and documentationDeliver health and safety training and briefings to staffCo-ordinate the occupational health programmeRequirements:NEBOSH diploma in health and safety or equivalent - UK qualifiedCert.
IOSH or above desirable, with commitment to regular CPDProven track record and hands on experience in a Health and Safety rolePrevious experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or similar industries is desirable.
Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene proceduresOrganised and motivated to move the department forwardExcellent communication skills and the ability to work within all levels of the organisationGood working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and the requirements this imposes on a business.5 years + experience working as a Health and Safety Manager in the UK.

The role is on site Monday - Friday and is a permanent role, we are offering a competitive salary and benefits
