The Mechanical Technician forms a key part of the on-site Maintenance team tasked with helping to ensure plant availability through a combination of reactive and preventative maintenance works across a range of equipment and machinery.

The position reports into the site based Maintenance Manager.

Fault finding and maintaining of plant mechanical equipment
Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
Undertaking / assisting in plant developments & projects
Working in accordance with the Evero Safety Rules, actively managing the subcontractors with the setting to work process and supervising contractors
Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
Working with the company CMMS (Maximo) to assure accurate maintenance records, and comprehensive asset data information

We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Waste-to-Energy field.

A recognised engineering qualification at ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 Mechanical qualifications (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience in an Energy from Waste facility, or power generation, or equivalent
Able to demonstrate experience in maintenance and repair of a wide and varied range of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment
Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, Shredders, Overhead Cranes and Pneumatics
Demonstrable experience working with Permit-to-Work systems
