- Driving local & global commodity and supplier strategies to secure long term supply of direct material at industry best prices and contracts terms.
- Being accountable for the negotiation, delivery and management of supply contracts and complex commercial terms & conditions.
- Create supplier and/or commodity specific supply resilience programs to ensure a long-term supply security,by identifying, managing and mitigating all supply chain risk.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with cross functional stakeholder groups (product development, Operations, Supply chain/logistic, Finance, Quality, Corporate Strategy) to deliver maximum value in all activities.

- Experience in a Direct Procurement environment required (Experience with Raw materials, minerals, chemistry, automotive, battery/power system technology, EV propulsion, would be highly advantageous).

Description
Senior Buyer – Raw Material ProcurementAs a Buyer for Direct Raw Material Procurement, you will be responsible for the commodity strategy development, global sourcing, procurement and supply chain management of raw materials required for Electric Vehicle battery manufacturing to meet the strategic objectives of the organisation.
The focus on this role will be support the delivery of manufacturing operations in the UK, but as one global procurement team to deliver the most value for all global procurement and supply chain operations.
This will require individuals with an open and positive 'can do' mindset, who will require the ability and/or the desire to design and build new process's, policies, systems and tools needed to deliver our procurement objectives.
Create and execute strategic sourcing plans for direct procurement, in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Strong analytical and data skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively present large amounts of complex information to gain needed alignment and approvals.
We are rapidly scaling up our operations to pioneer the design, development, and manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) at our state-of-the-art gigafactory in the UK.
