Buyer Procurement - Leicestershire, United Kingdom - 1st Executive
Description
Category Buyer - £45K - Leicestershire As the Category Buyer, you will be joining the electrical category team, where you will be purchasing commodities such as components, wiring, harnesses, ECU's, Chassis control unites, suspension and other electronical based commodities.
The spend for this position will be roughly £10 million, which will be split between a blend of tactical and strategic procurement.
Maintaining and building on the current high-quality standardsIdentifying new market technologies and driving their implementation to enhance product line up
Effectively managing risks and opportunities within the supply chain
You will collaborate with the wider product, design and Quality Control (QC) functions and champion the development of the performance of the existing supply base.
Develop purchasing and procurement strategy for your commodities, ensuring best value and quickest and most suitable sources for new model development programmes.
Perform category management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management.Evaluate cost data and quotation analyses for supplier selections.
Maths and English GSCE grade C or above
Proficient in Microsfot packages including Excel, Word, Outlook
Expereince within a Purchasing and Procurement department
Degree in Business or Engineering related field
Experience in an automotive / manufacturing environment
Experience purchasing electrical commodities
