£26,500 - £29,500 up to 6% bonus per annum.

What you'll be doing
As a
Claims Handler, you will manage a caseload from validity through to the conclusion of the claim.

Your responsibilities will revolve around providing exceptional service and support during the claims process, ensuring that customer's needs are met, and their concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.


Working collaboratively with others you will need to communicate and liaise with Claims Investigators, Contractors, and Builders, keeping the customer informed throughout the process.

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth and effective management of a claim to closure.


Customer demand comes in via different forms of communication methods, however, confidence and willingness to communicate effectively and regularly via telephone (inbound/outbound) and excellent communication are essential to the role.


The role offers insight into the new homes business and provides an interesting opportunity to provide valuable support for our customers through complex and varied claims.


Role and responsibilities comprise of

  • Manging a caseload of claims.
  • Proactive management of claims with regular touch points with your customer.
  • Working to internal Service Level Agreements.
  • Supporting colleagues in our First Contact team.
  • Support the standard claims workstreams whenever customer demand requires you to do so, or upon the request of a Team Leader.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to Treating Customers Fairly requirements.
  • Ownership and adherence to internal and external policies, procedures, and governance.
  • Opportunity to help improve internal processes, practices & activities within the team.
  • Experience within a customer service environment.
  • Insurance claims handling experience where possible
  • Experience in call handling
  • Strong IT skills, with competency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A strong track record of delivering good outcomes to claimants and consumers
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organisation, multitasking, and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Act with integrity, care, and diligence.

Qualifications:

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum of GCSE A-C English and Maths or equivalent i.e. diploma.
  • Qualification in insurance or claims handling would be an advantage.
