Salary and benefits:

We have an excellent opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Senior Finance Change Manager in our Finance Change Team to lead on the interaction with the Business Growth Portfolio (Open Business) programmes and projects, including new product launches and enhancements to existing propositions.

Based in the Finance Change Team you will have oversight of all Business Growth initiatives impacting the Finance function, working closing with Open and Finance colleagues to ensure safe delivery of change initiatives into the Finance Operating model.

This is a great opportunity to develop to develop and enhance the operating model for change interactions between Open Division and the Finance function.

The role


As a Senior Finance Change manager, you will lead on all change interactions with the Open portfolio (Business Growth) that impact the Finance Operating model.

Based in the Finance Change Team, you will provide Finance oversight to Business Growth projects and lead a team of Finance Change Managers to deliver Finance elements of projects in adherence to the Finance Change Governance framework.

As a new role within Finance, it provides the opportunity to set out the operating model for Business Growth interactions with Finance, ensuring Finance operational readiness is achieved as part of Business Growth project delivery.


You will take a prominent leadership role, building and leading Finance Change (Open) Team to meet the demands of individual projects.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across both Phoenix's Open and Heritage divisions, you will play a key role in supporting Phoenix's strategic objectives to achieve significant organic growth.

As a Senior Finance Change Manager, you will also lead other internal and external Finance Change Managers and support the development of aligned internal colleagues.


Joining a new team in Finance Change, you will have the opportunity to help shape how it operates and interacts and will manage and support the development of team members.


What are we looking for?


We are looking for an experienced Finance change management professional with specific knowledge and experience of Finance operating models including systems, processes and stakeholders.

You will have a strong track record of delivery in a commercial environment, of developing and evolving operational models and governance processes and be someone who is keen to learn quickly in a changing environment.


You will have an ability to build strong relationships and drive action through influence and leadership across boundaries, combined with experience and ability to influence and communicate effectively with executives at the business leadership level, as well as with SMEs across the business.


Knowledge of how new savings and retirement products are delivered through change initiatives and how operational readiness is achieved is highly desirable, as is an firm understanding of Finance Change governance life cycle from impact assessment, through requirements, design, build, test, release and business acceptance.


As a Senior Leader in our business, development of our team is also critical, therefore experience leading teams and individuals - both directly and in matrix environments - while also helping them develop to achieve their potential is also very important for this role.
