Edendale Lodge is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The role involves supervising a team of Care Assistants, creating personalised care plans, performing risk assessments, and delivering high-quality care that enables individuals to live as independently as possible. It requires strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, a compassionate and understanding nature, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating person-centred care plans and performing risk assessments.
Completing and monitoring medication administration record (MAR) sheets.
Documenting and monitoring daily care notes.
Supporting individuals to attend appointments and community activities.
Encouraging residents to maintain their independence.
Administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
Providing nutritional support, including meal preparation.
Undertaking household duties to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
Assisting residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, oral care, and toileting.
Assisting with mobility needs using aids like hoists and standing aids as necessary.
Offering companionship to enhance the emotional well-being of residents.
Safeguarding residents and maintaining a high level of well-being.
Effectively communicating with colleagues, management, residents' families, and third-party professionals.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in the health and social care sector or a relevant qualification.
Ability to lead by example.
Passionate about supporting people to live a fulfilling life.
Willingness to undergo training and development.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Strong consideration for the needs and wishes of the individuals in our care.
