FPSG, working closely with one of our well established and highly reputable financial services clients, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial professional to undertake a varied and challenging Financial Accounting Manager / Senior FinanceManager position (Inside IR35) on an initial 6 month basis.

Given then scope and demand of this this, our client is expecting this position to go beyond the 6-month mark.

As a hybrid role, our client is keen to have a professional join who lives within a commutabledistance to Glasgow.

***Joining an established finance team, this role sits within a Division which provides clear and accurate management information, providing value for money from suppliers through contracts and procurement, as well as mitigating the Company's exposure to financialrisk.

Main scope of the position is to ensure that systems of financial discipline, governance, risk management and control are maintained to the highest professional standards expected of a major service delivery organisation in the public sector.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts and the implementation of material accounting developments required through legislation or similar.

Line Management Responsibility: 3x direct reports in a team of 14 with a Budget responsibility of around £1m.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND

Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA etc) with at least 4+ years post qualified experience.
Be able to demonstrate a track record of leadership, delegation and influencing key stakeholders internally to deliver technical knowledge in an easytounderstand format.
Have knowledge of IFRS, UK tax legislation mainly aligned to VAT and PAYE.
Experience of dealing with external audit professionals.
