    Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a highly successful fine food distributor specialising in the independent retail and gift market.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Account Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales within a designated geographic area, building, and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The Territory Account Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize market penetration and profitability.

    The role provides the opportunity to take full responsibility within the South West area. This is a field-based role and will have a split of generally 75% account management and 25% business development.

    £28-35k + Company Car + bonus (OTE £50K)

    Key Responsibilities

    Territory Management

    • Take ownership of the assigned territory, including mapping potential customers, competitors, and market dynamics.
    • Create and maintain a territory plan outlining key targets and growth opportunities.
    • Regularly analyse and report on territory performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

    Customer Relationship Management

    • Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Understand customer needs and challenges, offering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

    Sales Execution

    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers.
    • Close sales and negotiate agreements with customers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Strong understanding of the sales process and customer relationship management.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Experience in the fine foods, bakery, or condiments industry.
    • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
