Position Summary


Field Based - South England (Excluding London)

The Macallan Brand Ambassador's role is to engage and build strategic partnerships with top influencer groups, consumers and media, by bringing The Macallan "world" to life.

They are required to inspire, educate, and recruit these audiences with unique and impactful experiences.
As a secondary focus, The Macallan Brand Ambassador supports major brand initiatives, and helps deliver targeted portfolio performance.

The role will involve extensive event hosting and travel within the region of location, and to Scotland to liaise with the global brand and distillery teams and host key influencer visits.

It is vital that The Macallan Brand Ambassador embodies the essence of the brand in both appearance, behaviour and delivery of key brand messages.

The Ambassador will be tasked with establishing long term relationships with prestige clients and measured on The Macallan's CRM tool.

Job Description

The Brand Ambassador is the face of The Macallan brand with a focus in their key location and responsible for the education and engagement of consumers, influencer groups, media and internal/external stakeholders, including Edrington commercial teams.

They will help to drive an increase in The Macallan's 'salience', as measured by established tracking tools.
Skills and Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent gained via work experience within the luxury category

  • Experience working with luxury brand(s) and their clientele
  • Socially connected with Influencer communities in key markets
  • Advanced social media skills (Facebook, Instagram etc)
  • Category, brand and portfolio strategy expertise
  • High net worth individual interaction and influence methods
  • Ability to use technology seamlessly in presentations
  • Leadership and mentoring/training skills
  • CRM experience
  • A strong sense of ownership and pride, with the ability to work independently
  • Seasoned traveller
  • Must be of an age that adheres to Edrington's Marketing Code of Conduct for responsible alcohol marketing

Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador

  • Luxury spirits industry or hospitality experience
  • A passion for whisky
  • Exposure in the world's most influential bars and hotels
  • Alcohol industry or advanced bartending/service qualifications
  • Fluency in additional languages
  • Brand messaging and positioning knowledge
  • Formal Media training
