    Description

    We are delighted to be recruiting for manufacturing engineer for a fabulous company based in Leamington Spa.

    Salary - £45k - Straight Days Monday to Friday (Early finish Friday)

    1. Summary

    The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will be responsible for the design and optimisation of processes utilised to produce customer goods efficiently and to the required customer specification.

    2. Areas of Focus

    Process Design & SOP control

    NPI

    APQP Management

    Efficiency Improvements

    Manufacturing Layouts

    8D Problem Resolution

    Lean Manufacturing & CI Implementation

    3. Core Responsibilities

    · Generate, evaluate & improve manufacturing processes-based on quality, efficiency, and speed. (SOPs)

    · Elements of APQP project management.

    · PPAP support

    · NPI product launch.

    · Customer liaison as required.

    · Generation of PFMEA's

    · Study production and machine requirements

    · Develop and test effective automated and manual systems

    · Aid with the specification for design of new equipment.

    · Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.

    · Integrate disparate systems (e.g., equipment handling, transport)

    · Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance

    · Resolve issues and delays in production

    · Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality

    · Aid the training of personnel in new and existing processes

    · Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers

    · Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations

    · Upgrade systems and processes with new technology

    · Identify and implement CI activity and removal of waste within Tecman processes employed.

    · ISO / IATF understanding.

    · 8D Problem solving.

    · Working experience / understanding of APQP & PPAP

    · Microsoft office tools

    · Working experience / understanding of ERP / MRP systems.

    Relevant Engineering Departmental KPI's relating to the APQP process and NPI costs.

    Objectives

    Objectives will be set by the Engineering Manager and will be aligned with the company strategy. Objectives will be SMART and will be discussed and monitored regularly throughout the quarter. The intention is to set aspirational goals to encourage progress and provide direction as the company moves forward.
