Position
As a Shift Operations Supervisor, you'll be allocated responsibility for a range of activities within the 4 main departments of the operation;

Returns
Goods in
Warehouse Control
Dispatch

You will be solely responsible for the hourly performance of your team, ensuring all KPIs and SLAs are achieved, and all SOPs and H&S policies are strictly adhered to.

You'll attend regular SIC (Short interval control) meetings, presenting your team's performance to your operations shift manager.

Issues that fall within your authority must be immediately dealt with, and more serious issues raised with your shift operations manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

_ Managing your team_

Ensure all KPIs set by Senior Management are met by your team according to their SLA time frames.
Ensure all employees are adhering to the warehouse SOP guidelines set by the Operations Development team.
Proactively monitor workloads and backlogs within your team, and feedback relevant information to the operations shift manager
Take direct ownership of your team, identifying risks and raising concerns to the operations shift manager.
Promote a culture of teammate engagement
Ensure your team's working areas are cleaned and fully set up, ready for the following shift.

_ Training_

Aid the operations shift manager in identifying training needs within your allocated teams, upskilling operatives where necessary, using the skills matrix.

_ Reporting_

Produce your team's daily report
Produce ad hoc productivity reports

_ Other_

Always strive to develop your own skills and operational knowledge
Assist your operations shift manager with Return to works and Investigations where necessary.
Assist with ad hoc operations projects.
Put forward suggestions for process improvements.
