Description

We are seeking a community health care assistant for 30 hours per week, working in the district nursing team who are based at Shaftesbury.

You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills when caring for patient in their own homes in the community setting.

Any training required for this role will be supported by the Trust.


Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.


Under direction of the team leader or deputy, undertake nursing care for patients in their own homes and other community settings and by working in partnership with patients, their carers and others, enable them to make informed choices.


Will be required to undertake the Band 3 Development Programme and following this will be required to give routine sub cut and intra-muscular injections, re-catheterisation and also undertake advanced wound care.
