Who are Martin Renewables Solutions Limited?Established in Wardle, Martin Renewables Solutions Ltd (MRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Martin GmbH () Germany.
Martin services the energy-from-waste (EfW) industry by providing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Spare parts, engineering, design, consulting, modernisation, planning and general contracting services.
In addition, it offers products for boiler systems as well as flue gas treatment (LAB), plant modernization, equipment overhaul, repair & maintenance services.
Martin has been serving the UK market for over 40 years and MRS will expand its support with its local presence.
This is a highly visible position for an enthusiastic engineer who has the desire to expand their knowledge base in the environmental field of EfW and MARTIN GmbHs detailed product line.
Above anything, we are looking for someone who is open to learning new skills and experience and adopt new approaches.
More about the opportunityYou will come from an engineering discipline (ideally process engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical control & instrumentation) and will be trained over the course of approx months to become our internal expert in combustion optimisation.

We want you to be proud to have the Martin logo on your t-shirtAbout the job itselfThis role will report directly into the Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of:You will understand the customer need and define a plan. Advise the customer, make changes, monitor those changes and report back on the results.
You will therefore develop a strong rapport with the customer and all recommended changes must be agreed by them, maintaining strong communications at all times.
Generally such a project will last 1 2 weeks.Your diagnostic approach to the business need will also contribute to business development as you will inevitably see other opportunities.
General ResponsibilitiesTrain and gain experience across the range of Martin Group TechnologyCommunicate regularly with technical and HQ located in Munich (Germany)Provide onsite and offsite technical support for client requirements and committed service contractsServicing and fixing small parts from GermanyWrite and deliver detailed reports for our clients and conduct our services in a clear and professional manner.
This involves managing your own diary and effective time management, ensuring sufficient time is allocated to achieve the best quality outcomes.
Comply with any internal policies on quality standards, housekeeping and Health & Safety.Involves travelling and/or temporarily residing at customer sites.
To be able to work internationally for short periods from time to time.
Expected to be available on a shared call out system. Ability and willingness to work some bank holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
Person Specification/qualificationsDegree level qualification in an engineering discipline or relative experience (process engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical control & instrumentation)Experience in commissioning projectsGood knowledge of energy from waste plant design with special emphasis on mechanical grate systems and combustion equipment would be highly advantageous (not essential).Excellent communication skills, including presenting technical informationTeam player, committed to achieving high standardsEffective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel extensively across the UKHold a valid Passport with the willingness to travel overseasMust have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to learn and utilise new software systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA positive, polite attitude and strong interpersonal skills Strong desire for continued growth and learningThis is a broad role for an enthusiastic individual with a willingness to develop and grow with the business.
