Residential Field Supervisor

Salary:
Up to £28,000 + Van
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Residential Field Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients.
To ensure residential work is supported operationally to achieve the departmental targets, providing technical advice & training where required and ensuring legal and health & safety requirements are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting and completing relevant documentation to meet legal and organisational requirements including report writing.
- Carrying out professional cleaning of soft/hard furnishings for the residential/commercial and communal departments.
- Carrying out fire, flood and trauma restoration work.
- Participating in and delivering training for Residential Technicians.
- Participating in the oncall rota and being available to advise oncall colleagues.
- Ensuring the Residential Technicians are managed and supported.
- Employing strategies and methods to motivate the team, listen to their concerns or suggestions and operate an inclusive style of supervision.
- Enhancing the image of the company through a professional approach.
- Ensuring standards and procedures are being followed.
- Providing technical support to staff and customers.
- Producing quotations for residential and commercial cleaning and restoration work including recommendations for specialist equipment.
- Keeping vehicles stocked with specified stock levels and equipment along with daily and weekly maintenance checks.
- Working as part of a team delivering first class, professional customer service.
- Order materials/products for the Residential Department.
- Work with the Residential/Restoration Services Manager to assess and resolve queries, requests, and complaints in a timely manner.
- Provide information to the customer, advising and answering enquiries on services available.
- Encourage feedback on services provided and recognise the changing needs of the service and make recommendations to the Department Manager for service improvements.
- Coordinate residential departments equipment upkeep either by using own skills or informing the Residential/Restoration Services Manager or operations department.
- Maintain and manage the residential departments workshop and carry out monthly building and equipment safety inspections, reporting any concerns or damage to the Residential/Restoration Coordinator.
- Respond to all operating difficulties with equipment and assist staff with use.
- Ensure Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and procedures are adhered to by self and Technicians.
- Attend meetings as required by the company.
- Undertake any other duties as required commensurate with the role.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership, organisational and time management skills including supervising a small team.
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with clients and staff at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise and be proactive.
- A clean driving licence is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner and work independently.
- Portray a professional and smart appearance.
- Consistently demonstrate an awareness of good relations with customers and colleagues.
- Experience of cleaning in a similar role.
- Hold, or be willing to work towards, core competency training (e.g., BDMA, H&S, Risk Assessment).
