We are working with an global specialist who operate in over 140 countries to appoint a full-time Claims Assistant to work in their office based in Ipswich.

They are looking for a keen and eager individual who is looking to start a long term career move.


Work as part of the Claims Handling team, covering territorial area as first line contact for dealers and other customers who wish to register claims for damage.

To ensure accuracy of data is maintained and claims are registered, administered and settledwithin agreed time frames. This role offers full training and a clear pathway for progression through their talent development programme.


Hours & Salary:

Full-time

09:00am - 17:00pm

What is the day-to-day of the role:

Receiving claims from a variety of dealers and claimants in respect of newly built vehicle which have sustained damage on route to dealers or distribution centres.

Registering these claims into a dedicated database and workflow system within KPI timeframes
Using the material provided, assessing the responsibility for damage and alerting carriers of their responsibility
Liaising with and supporting colleagues to agree which claims can be approved and which need disputing
Monitoring claim progress working within agreed KPI timeframes
Registering claimant receipts of claim invoice
Producing reclaim demands based on claim information held and pursuing same
Updating the dedicated database with reclaim status changes
Liaison with and support for other role holders that interact with the claims handling process

Specifically:
providing assistance in respect of document handling, database record updates and report generation
To manage own workload and always work within KPI timeframes set


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Some understanding of the insurance claims administration processes
An organised and proactive approach that shows in excellent administration skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues across the Company
Good time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work
Great problem solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach to resolving queries
A flexible approach and positive attitude
Strive to deliver performance targets and drive business improvements to contribute to the success of the business
