Job Description

AsQuality Inspector, you will be focused on ensuring that we maintaingreat quality to our customers which will include liaising andmonitoring customer complaints to ensure that all actions arecustomer focused. Quality Inspectors are responsible for thequality of fresh product tospecification.

This role is a full time,permanent position working the night shift (40 hours per week) onsite in our Corby depot. The shift pattern in Sunday – Thursdayworking 21.30pm – 5.30am.

Key Accountabilities &Responsibilities:

Documentthe quality of product delivered and duringstorage
Reject product that fails to meetspecifications and standards
Work as partof the Quality team in ensuring high standards are met with a viewto continual improvement
Check rejectedproduce are isolated for return. Ensure control sheets arecompleted to reflect the correct information required i.e.temperatures, glass, brittle plastic and knife and scissorcontrol
Ensure that systems andprocedures are adhered to
Respond todaily delivery issues regardingquality.
Cover other Quality areas wherenecessary
Responding to customercomplaints and ensuring the monitoring of the suppliers andproduct causing complaints
To work in ateam-based environment where all managers/employees work togetherfor the good of the business
Through thedepartment provide ongoing intelligence/data/information that canbe used by other departments in order to make more informeddecisions
Ensure that all applicablelegislation (H&S, Hygiene, BRC, etc) for a modern food businessare in place and adhered to by all and that any violations arereported to your business.
Specificprojects or activities as directed by your linemanager.

Aboutyou:

The successful candidate willpreferably have worked night shifts in a food environment and haveknowledge of warehouse practices, Ideally with produce knowledgealthough training will be given. This role would suit someonewho has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Theideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a flexible workingapproach to enable them to be customer focused and solutionsdriven.
