    UBDS, a leading digital transformation partner in the Information Technology and Services industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include deploying new technology, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring the security and compliance of systems and data. By leveraging your expertise in infrastructure, migrations, networking, and digital workplace technologies, you will have a direct impact on our clients' success. Additionally, you will provide ongoing support and maintenance, guaranteeing high levels of service management and proactive problem-solving.

    Responsibilities

    • Your primary role will be within our Infrastructure Operations centre, where you will join a team obsessed about delivery outstanding support, guidance and resolution to technology problems for our clients and for our own services and systems.
    • You will diagnose problems and troubleshoot issues across wired and wireless product lines, along with some more traditional/legacy network support. Provide engineering support for issues connected with the network infrastructure and Cloud
    • Implement and manage infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and storage
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance
    • Design and implement security measures to protect systems and data from potential threats
    • Support the migration of systems and applications
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
    • You will be a problem-solver, passionate about networking, Cloud technologies and Cyber Security
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, and other various network-related issues.
    • Effectively communicate with customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries, both orally and in writing
    • Work with colleagues and our client's teams to diagnose and resolve critical, escalated issu

    • Manage IT operations and network equipment like routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

    About You

    • Experience in infrastructure operations/engineering within a dynamic fast paced environment
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, and other various network-related issues
    • Strong knowledge of networking principles and technologies, including LAN, WAN, and VPN
    • Knowledge of network technologies, ideally with hands on exposure with both Wired and Wireless technologies
    • Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
    • Experience of using Cloud monitoring tools
    • Effectively communicate with customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries, both orally and in writing
    • Experience across multiple sectors
    • Flexible & a willingness to embrace change
    • Desire to learn new technologies & skills
    • Work with colleagues and our client's teams to diagnose and resolve critical, escalated issues.
    • Proficiency in designing and managing server infrastructure (Windows/Linux)
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
    • Familiarity with security best practices and experience in implementing and managing security measures
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team
    • Outstanding English language written and verbal communication skills and comprehension.
    • Outstanding customer service skills.
    • You must be eligible for SC Clearance
    • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
    • Networking certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Networks or equivalent
    • Willing to work unsociable hours to support on-going projects, migrations and implementations.
