You will maintain a high standard of patient care under thedirection of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse, taking the lead in clinical areas when competent, in the absence of a senior member of staff.
Necton ward also runs an Acute Respiratory Unit (ARCU) so you will have the opportunity to work in this are and improve your skills managing acutely unwell respiratory patients.
At all times, you will work in accordance with the principles governed by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and Trust Policies.
This role requires you to practice and adopt the National 6 C's which are Care, Compassion, Communication, Commitment, Competence and Courage.
The 6Cs of nursing stand for the professional values and behaviours and commitment to always deliver excellent care to our patients.
We're working on a once in a generation opportunity to build a new state-of-the-art hospital to open in 2030 and we are also carrying out on one of the biggest pieces of digital transformation work we've ever undertaken.
Our new electronic patient record (EPR) will replace paper-based patient records from 2026 and will lead to better, safer, joined-up care at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond.
At The QEH we provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, North Cambs and South Lincs.

Registered Nurse with the UK NMCDegree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
Undertaken mentorship training
Relevant experience of looking after patients in a healthcare environment
Risk Management experience
Knowledge of professional issues in nursing incorporating NMC and IPaC
