Our client is a well-established company who specialise in innovation insulation systems, they are mainly involved in the Government funded schemes. They are looking for a Head of Technical Specification to join their team based in Birmingham.

The role or Head of Technical Specification will be based from the Head Office in Birmingham and is dealing with specifiers, contractors and related trades, housebuilders, government retrofit schemes and ECO. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities of a Head of Technical Specification:

• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to develop technical specifications for new products or services.
• Oversee the translation of customer needs into functional product requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about technical aspects of products or services.
• Provide technical expertise and support to the sales and marketing teams.
• Monitor and analyse industry trends and market changes.
• Oversee the workings of the department and ensure smooth workflow.
• Capability management for the department.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on technical development activities, achievements and challenges

• Excellent technical knowledge related to the company's products or services.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership, stakeholders, and potential clients.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
• Strong commercial awareness
• A confident and determined approach.
• Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and professional demeanour
