Overview:

As the West Kent Trainer you'll ensure that health promotion and harm reduction messages are integrated throughout the West Kent Recovery Service.

This will include designing and delivering training for multiple drug and alcohol specific domains for staff and Service Users of the West Kent Drug & Alcohol Wellbeing Service alongside bespoke training packages for partner agencies.

You will also lead on the development and production of alcohol and drug-related specific resources for service users identified as an at risk or under-presented or disadvantaged group, including younger adults , people who identify as LGBTQIU, older people etc.

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting new opportunity for someone to work within our West Kent Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service.

Our team is made up of many skilled staff working together - including our Operational Managers, Team Leaders, Wellbeing Nurses, Recovery Workers, Doctors, NMPs, Criminal Justice Team, Volunteers and Peer Mentors.

Our collective aim is to make a difference to the lives of service users and their families across West Kent.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

You'll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important.

But most of the time you'll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.
