    About the School
    St. Julie's Catholic High School is a Notre Dame school and its aim is to put into practice the principles of the school's patron saint St Julie Billiart, the foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame. We are a school where academic excellence is standard and the focus is on the development of the whole child such that we grow confident, independent young women and men and strong partnerships between home and school. St Julie's is a large voluntary aided Roman Catholic secondary school, predominantly for girls with boys admitted into sixth form. There are 1078 pupils on roll, 174 of whom are in the sixth form.

    About the Role
    An opportunity has arisen for the school to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant at St Julie's Catholic High School to join our committed Catering Team. REQUIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE CATERING ASSISTANT - Hours of work: 12.5 hours per week / Term Time only (39 weeks per year) - Monday to Friday: 11.30 am to 2.00 pm - Salary: Grade 1 (Points 2-3) £12.26-£12.46 per hour Actual salary £7018-£ days holiday included) Personal Qualities
    Qualifications: Food Hygiene Certificate desirable Experience: Experience of preparing and cooking food in work, home or voluntary environment Knowledge and Understanding:
    • Basic knowledge of healthy eating options
    • Ability to prepare and cook a range of food options
    • Ability to understand and recognise the importance of ensuring a clean and safe environment
    • Ability to able to use own initiative
    • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team
    • Ability to use appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
    • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner.
    • Ability to take personal responsibility for standard of work carried out
