    Tax Advisor - UK London Remote - £80k - £100k plus fantastic benefits

    What role will you play in our team


    Working within a team of ten professionals and reporting to the UK Tax Manager, this tax advisory role is for a member of the direct tax team supporting the company's UK operations.


    These include upstream oil & gas, a refinery and chemical plants, marine fuels, commodity trading, holding and financing companies, and a growing low carbon solutions business.

    You will primarily support our trading business and will be based in our new offices in central London.


    Interaction will be with the business lines, other support functions (eg, law and treasurers), and with colleagues from across the group's global tax function.

    What you will do

    It is a dynamic environment involving around 150 people.

    You will be co-located with the trading organisation and will be responsible for providing tax advice to support them as they continue to grow.


    Your primary role will be as the trading business's main UK tax contact, providing tax advice for a variety of business transactions including new country entry, deal structure guidance, transfer pricing and strategic business initiatives.

    You will build and maintain relationships across the global tax function and the broader functional support teams.

    You will work with colleagues in the UK tax department, and will coordinate with tax advisers in countries in which the trading organisation is operating currently or in the future.

    About you


    You will have an accredited accounting or tax qualification (eg, ACA or CTA) and experience in advising an international trading business.


    You will have a strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and practice, and excellent analytical, communication, writing and organisational skills.

    A working knowledge of indirect tax principles will be an advantage.
