Ador Talent are working with a college who has campuses based in and around the Middleton area, the college is a fantastic place to work and offers excellent benefits and support to all employees.

This role will be a temporary to permanent role, starting asap.

As a Learning/Teaching Support Assistant, you will support children in an education setting who may have difficulties and / or disabilities therefore require additional support.

You will implement the agreed learning support with individuals and groups with a view to encourage learner independence using identified support strategies

Your Responsibilities will include:

Provide learning literacy and numeracy learning support.
Support Teacher/Lecturers with the planning and general classroom support
Record, review and adapt the learning approach for individual students throughout the year.
Support the Student Support Managers to carry out Healthcare Plans, PEEPs, exam concessions and specialist equipment are in place.
Support students with personal care and medical needs including administration of medication indicated in their Healthcare Plans

You will have:

Ideally you will have a DBS certificate and have access to the update service.
Ideally you will have experience working with children or young adults (not essential)
You must have a passion to help others and work with young adults
Ideally you will have experience supporting SEN children or children with behavioural issues, however not essential
