Description
MC Academy opened in 2005 and is based in Manchester City Centre. We provide English Language courses to Adults and Young Learners year-round. MC Academy is accredited by the British Council and are members of English UK.Key Responsobilities:
- Maintain staff files to a high quality, ensuring that all documents are up to date.
- Ensure all new staff files are complete and all new starter information is uploaded in a timely manner, ensuring all members of staff have a minimum of two references at the start of their employment.
- Ensure SRS is up to date at all times.
- Enter all information about employees on both the online portal, Intrinsiq, and as a hard copy in the files, ensuring that all personal information is up to date.
- Ensure all members of staff have a valid Enhanced DBS check at the start of their employment.
- Ensure all staff absences are recorded and monitored.
- Monitor staff attendance through Safescan and report lateness/absences to the relevant manager.
- Responsible for monitoring staff annual leave and ensuring annual leave allowances are adhered to.
- Ensure all policies are up to date (Handbook, Health & Safety, Prevent).
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance of employment law.
- Create valid contracts of employment, issue SMT's and ensure all job descriptions are valid and up to date.
- Ensure all staff files are safely stored, staff retention data is recorded and old employee files are stored correctly and disposed of when necessary.
- Responsible for all HR standard letters and associated administrative tasks.
- Manage the HR inbox, answering or filtering queries as appropriate.
- Create job adverts and job descriptions.
- Liase with external HR company when any issues or questions arise.
- Monitor all staff members annual leave, calculate annual leave and ensure zero hours annual leave up to date.

Person Specification:
- Minimum one year of administration
- Experience working in HR is prefered
- Be prepared to have an enhanced DBS check
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to multitask and deliver against a number of priorities
- Professional telephone manner
- Excellent team worker with the ability to negotiate and compromise whilst considering the views of others
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical and diligent approach to ensure quality and accurate results to any given task
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to adapt quickly to change
- Effective communicator
- Enthusiasm
- Professional appearance
- Flexible approach to working hours

Salary:
£19,000 pro rata
