A&P NORTH EAST - Quality Controller - Marine
A&P North East includes the largest commercial dry-dock on the East coast of England.

We're looking for a Quality Controller to support our HSEQ Manager ensuring that all operations at the facility adhere to quality standards and complies with regulations.


A great role where collaboration with the team to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement will ensure the highest levels of safety and efficiency is maintained.


So what will you do?

  • Through various inspections you'll ensure we're adhering to quality standards and compliance with regulations
  • You'll write and gain sign off of inspection test plans (ITPs);
  • Quality checks on client quality requirements including materials, processes and all involved will be a big part of your role as well as inspecting, testing and analysing equipment, systems and processes to ensure they meet standards
  • You'll manage documents throughout project lifecycles
  • Through collaborating with all stakeholders including Project and Operations Management, Project Teams, Production Control, Section Leads, Shipwrights, Fitters, you'll identify potential issues and find potential solutions
  • Recommending improvements, you'll keep quality assurance procedures at the highest levels of safety and efficiency
  • You'll maintain and compile project related KPI's and metrics
  • By conducting regular inspections, audits, preparing detailed reports, and providing feedback you'll continuously improve the quality and reliability of marine operations

And what are we looking for?

  • Technical expertise and knowledge of Marine processes materials and industry standards with a keen eye for detail and understanding of the importance of quality
  • Leadership skills when working on projects and within teams
  • IT skills with various Microsoft packages such as Pro, Word and Excel.
  • Relevant NACE, CSWIP or welding inspection experience
