- Become part of the SMILE network for Medulloblastoma Survivorship and Late-Effects.
- Work with childhood cancer datasets to understand key clinico-molecular correlates of late-effects.
- Support project through analytical, statistical, and bioinformatic expertise.
- Contribute ideas to enhance technical aspects of studies for added value.
- Determine appropriate methodologies and tools for research.
- Assess research findings for further investigations.
- Present research findings at conferences or through publications.
- Support postgraduate research students or Research Assistants.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and meet scientific rigor.
- Ability to work well in a team and acquire new skills rapidly.
- Detailed subject knowledge relevant to cancer late effects, bioinformatics, and biostatistics.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving capability.

The Role
Based in the Wolfson Childhood Cancer Research Centre, a Research Assistant/Associate position is available for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the multi-disciplinary Paediatric Brain Tumour Group in Newcastle University Cancer Centre and the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
