    Project Manager - Rail

    Wigan / Hybrid

    A Tier One Principal Contractor, operating throughout England and Wales, delivering multi-disciplinary buildings and civil engineering projects for Network Rail and other infrastructure clients is looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in Civil Engineering construction and Rail to support a growing portfolio of works on the North West & Cam Framework, giving practical and technical guidance to Works Delivery Managers, ensuring the correct execution of both permanent and temporary works.

    Management of Network Rail and rail related infrastructure contracts, ensuring KPIs are met

    • Liaise with Works Delivery Managers and the Commercial team, to review estimate submissions and final account details analysing trends and reporting on delivery performance
    • Providing technical support, guidance and practical advice to Works Delivery Managers, ensuring competent execution of the work bank from both a permanent and temporary works perspective
    • Managing the frontend design process to ensure design deliverables are met in line with client expectations and programme milestones
    • Preparing and implementing site specific management plans, ensuring site activities comply with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
    PTS (Personal Track Safety)

    • Experience in managing multiple projects work sites, preferably from within a Rail environment
    • Safety Critical management and planning including incident/ accident reporting experience
    • Experience of creating work package plans, risk assessments and lift plans
    • Strong people and stakeholder management experience
    • CSCS card, NEBOSH, COSS, SMSTS (highly desirable)
