Our customers span a broad range of market segments including pharmaceutical, biotech, contract research and contract manufacturers as well as clinical, forensic and academic laboratories in addition to organizations focused on food safety, clean water and environmental sustainability.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be charged with the implementation and promotion of lean and continuous improvement activities throughout the company.
Reporting to the Engineering Director, this person will lead their own assigned maintenance and improvement activities, through best practice methodology, striving to find the balance between the most effective solution, cost and keeping material/resource wastage to a minimum.
Designing, developing and maintaining automated / standalone manufacturing processes and equipment, jigs and fixtures etc. to meet project requirements and safety standards.Compiling and helping with the writing of relevant documentation including risk assessments, production work instructions to ensure safe working practices.
Implement repair and modification work to site facilities and equipment including electrical wiring and service installation work.We are ideally looking for someone with a time-served qualification in a manufacturing/mechanical or electrical engineering discipline and proven relevant experience.
Qualified in installing single and three phase electrical circuits.~18th Edition Electrical wiring qualification (preferred but not essential).
~ Design-level experience of PLC's and/or control system programming, especially Siemens S7 & UR 6 axis robots.
~ Ability to read / write and understand engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
~ Ability to operate workshop equipment such as Lathes, Milling Machines etc.
~ Legislative experience of Machinery Directive and Equipment Building requirements.
