    Description

    An ever-present issue in our modern world is that of how best to recycle and re-use our resources to limit the damage we do on our environment. This is a particular problem in the world of packaging where single use plastics and damaging materials are still the cheapest to use in mass manufacturing. A growing number of innovative businesses, both small and large, are leading the way when it comes to finding alternative packaging methods.

    This particular business is a shining example of how a small group of determined scientists and engineers can start to change the world.

    Working with a now patented paper packaging technology and directly with the Product Director, key equipment suppliers and end customers, the business are infamous for their designs both in commercial and household items, and are constantly being lauded in international press and packaging award shows for their plastic defying inventions.

    Having built a machine that can mass produce their packaging material, the team focus on UK and overseas installations but are now looking to build on their success and create a new packaging assembly machine that will speed the production up.

    The team are in need of a commissioning engineer to work with their UK and overseas clients. Currently, the team work across the world installing these machines in places such as the USA, Europe and Asia.

    The main task at hand is to lead commissioning activities of new repeat build machines through both FAT in the UK and SAT internationally whilst driving continuous improvement through feedback to mechanical, electrical and controls engineering team members. You'll manage upgrade installation & validation exercises on existing machines as well as help with machine relocation planning. You'll essentially lead commissioning activity for all NPD projects and will be an integral part of the proverbial machine that is driving the team into the history books.
