    SENIOR CLINICAL LECTURER IN CARDIO-RESPIRATORY MEDICINE

    The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Cardio-Respiratory Medicine, with an honorary clinical position held in the Respiratory Medicine Department at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital (LHCH).

    The appointment will contribute to the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS).

    The LCCS has been formed as a strategic research collaboration among the University of Liverpool, Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, Liverpool John Moores University, and Liverpool Health Partners.

    Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital will be the Trust employer for this post.


    You will:
    Bring a distinguished record of academic achievements in cardio-respiratory medicine.

    Develop and deliver a world-class research programme that aligns with the aims and vision of the LCCS and ideally related to cardio-respiratory medicine.

    The clinical duties would include innovation/contribution to service provision for the respiratory medicine patients at LHCH.
    Enhance the profile, activity and outputs of the LCCS.

    Have a proven ability to provide and implement a vision that will foster excellence in research, teaching, and engagement within the broader Faculty and its research and health partners.

    Secure prestigious external funding awards, produce high quality research outputs and supervise postgraduate research student projects.
    Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University of Liverpool and training of junior medical staff.

    Have excellent communication, presentational and interpersonal skills to publicise and promote the LCCS within and out with the University.

    An ability to forge excellent working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partners from a range of professional and academic backgrounds.

    A commitment to the University¿s strategic aims and core values.

    You will, from an administrative line management perspective, be aligned to the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine in the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences.
