    Community Host / Leisure Assistant - Strood Academy - Rochester, Kent

    Job Type: Part Time, Zero hour contract, Weekends only

    Salary: £8.60 - £11.44 per hour

    We take pride in simplifying the process for schools to rent out their sports and leisure facilities, and our Community Hosts are deeply dedicated to delivering exceptional service to groups renting these facilities.

    Job Purpose: To warmly welcome our Renters and their groups to the school facilities, ensuring all amenities are opened and prepared on time for each group to enjoy their visits.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • To provide a top-notch experience for our renters, ensuring all clients have a pleasant and memorable visit. Aiding renters in setting up facilities for rentals & other school events, from arranging sports equipment to preparing the venue for activities.
    • To perform light cleaning tasks to maintain the school premises in their original state – from a quick sweep to tidying up chairs and storing equipment. We aim to reduce any additional work for school staff the next day.
    • Ensuring the security and safety of our school is a top priority for Vivify. The Community Host opens and locks gates and doors securely at the end of their shift.
    • Throughout the shift, conducting all necessary health and safety checks, and reporting any risks or malfunctioning equipment through our system to uphold the school's high standards and ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone on the premises.
    • Comprehensive training is provided in person and through online modules to equip the Community Host with the required knowledge and skills for the role, including familiarity with the school facilities, safeguarding procedures, manual handling, fire safety, and customer service.
    • We take pride in our work quality and service delivery. If it benefits either, we always find a solution, so the Community Host may engage in additional tasks not specified in the responsibilities above to assist the school, renters, and the Vivify team.

    Process:

    3. If successful, Vivify will handle an Enhanced DBS check

    4. Confirmation of start date and training schedule
