Days and hours: 40 hours a week, 10:30am-21:00pm / 3:00am to 11:30am


Work Location:
Hybrid working with ability to work 2 days per week in office in Hemel Hempstead (HP2 7DU).


Job summary


Our client is expanding their team within Logistics Central Operation (UK) in Hemel Hempstead and looking for a Logistics Planner.

As Logistics Planner, you will play an integral part in the Logistics team and make a direct impact on how quickly a parcelreaches the customer.

As part of the Central Operations Team, you will support daily planning and forecasting to help their UK Delivery Stations to deliver their customers.

Key job responsibilities
Conduct daily dispatch planning operations for Delivery Stations

Coordinate Sortation Associates planning operations for Delivery Stations

Coordinate transitions between Forecasting/Scheduling and Routing operations

Develop, audit and update standard work documents

Function as an advisor to the UK Delivery Station network on standard operational practices

Mentor new joiners

Lead continuous improvement GEMBA walks

Participate in auditing and updating daily checklists

Keep the customer at the heart of every decision you make


A day in the life


You will report into the Lead Logistics Planner and be part of a Hybrid team of Logistics Schedulers supporting the daily planning, routing and execution functions for Delivery Stations.

In this role, you will work on a shift basis and each day will be different.

You will carry out daily route planning operations for Next Day and Same Day delivery services, following standard operations benchmark procedures but also having the chance toimprove the status quo through continuous improvement initiatives.


Basic qualifications
Solid computer skills, including the ability to understand and handle Excel data reports, pivot tables and work with web-integrated work flows

Able to use multiple software platforms simultaneously to produce accurate outputs

Experience communicating verbally and in writing in a professional environment

Evidence of delivering high-quality customer experience in an ever-growing organisation
