    We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics team at Derriford Hospital.

    This post is part of an established 7-day working service applicants must, therefore, be able to take an active part in the 7-day rota, which includes weekends and bank holidays.

    The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills and a flexible approach to working.

    The OT department is committed to Continued Professional Development and involves all grades of staff in its In-Service Training programmes.


    Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as Priority and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
    To have extensive demonstrable experience in an acute hospital setting.
    To have demonstrable experience within a healthcare setting.
    To have worked with a wide range of orthopaedic & medical conditions.
    To have attended postgraduate training and courses related to this post.
    To have completed clinical supervisor training.
    Demonstrable experience of supervising Occupational Therapy students.

    Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
    To be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
