- Working as the leader of a Scrum team to produce production code in line with business requirements.
- Recruiting, training and developing the software engineers who report to you.
- Technical leadership, providing reference implementations and demonstrations of new technologies and frameworks, and ensuring a high standard of software development.
- Resolve technical debates/arguments to focus the team on working solutions.
- Contribute to the strategic technology direction of the company.
- Strong C # development skills in a .net environment.
- A strong knowledge of object orientated programming principles
- E xperience of liaising between development, test and business teams.
- Self-learner, keeping abreast of changes within the testing industry and software development as a discipline.
- Test harness creation in a .net environment
- Advanced knowledge of selenium webdriver
- Creating a suite of Gherkin style tests with Specflow from requirements and or use cases
- A working knowledge of GIT
- Commercial knowledge and use of RabbitMQ and message queueing
- Create automated integration tests at API level
- A strong understanding of the technical architecture of complex web applications and web technologies including RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of object orientated programming
- A strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Debugging automated test scripts
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Test suite optimization (time and resources)
- Experience of collaborating with programmers and business experts
- A positive can-do attitude and enthusiasm, and the capability of learning new technologies.
- Ability to interrogate a database using SQL or visual tools to extract relevant data
- Demonstrate the use and advantages of heuristic evaluation during software testing
- Fluent in French
- Practical knowledge of Jmeter or similar tools for performance testing

What will you be doing?
In this role, you are the detailed technical authority within a development team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and running of applications at Argus. You will manage and mentor up to six other engineers in your team.
Working as part of the Argus technology department in our central London office, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of world class digital data products for our key strategic data, pricing and fundamental initiatives. We favour practical solutions over grand designs and believe that done is better than perfect.
Technology is central to our continued growth and as such we have invested heavily in our in-house development and data science teams who deliver industry leading digital data solutions. The development teams use some of the latest technologies working on greenfield projects and applying modern development practices.
