We are now partnering with a prestigious education organisation to help them recruit an exceptional HR Adviser on a permanent basis.

Please note; this role offers hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days pw working on-site, however the post-holder will need to be willing and able to offer flexibility on their frequency and pattern of on-site working, depending on business needs.


Working as part of the Employee Relations team within a friendly and supportive People and Culture department, you will manage your own caseload and related administration and make a significant contribution to providing a quality HR service to stakeholders across the organisation.

The HR Adviser is a key role within the team, working closely with senior managers and line managers, providing the necessary guidance, support and expertise needed in order to reach solutions and resolve all people related matters.


To be successful as an HR Adviser in this HR generalist role you will need to be flexible in the role, predominantly focussing on a broad range of employee related matters.

You will also require a strong focus on building effective working relationships with managers and staff in order to deal with queries effectively and efficiently.


To be considered you will also require:

  • CIPD Level 5 membership or equivalent professional experience
  • Recent experience in an employee relations focussed HR generalist role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and equalities related legislation across all HR disciplines and people management best practice
  • The ability to provide sound HR support and guidance to line managers without close supervision
  • Previous experience of working in Higher Education or a similar public sector environment
  • A selfmotivated, proactive and flexible approach combined with an ability to adapt to change and manage a diverse workload
