We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded and leading supplier of mechanical instruments, they supply, calibrate and repair to a wide range of businesses in the UK.

Due to internal promotion, they now have a vacancy to train and developan in-house Service Engineer.

Please note that due to the rural location of this role, which is located halfway between Winchester and Basingstoke, own transport is essential.

As Trainee Service Engineer you will join an established service team as an in-house service engineer and full training will be provided.

This is a full, time permanent position offering a salary up to £20,000 per year. Hours are Monday - Friday pm with an earlier finish on a Friday. Also included is a team bonus, company uniform, 28 days holiday per year, rising each year of service.

The role of Trainee Service Engineer is to assist with the service, repair and calibration of mechanical instruments, providing inspection tests and configurations.

Our ideal Trainee Service Engineer will have the following attributes:

You will be liaising with the sales team and customers on a daily basis, so must be a confident communicator.
You will have a in inquisitive mindset and enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together
Ability to record accurate information is key so you will have excellent attention to detail.
You are patient, have great listening skills and the ability to explain solutions to others.
