Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Design Manager to join a UK company that manufactures leading technology protection relays and medium voltage circuit breakers often for highly critical electrical power systems across a global client base.
This is an excellent role for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer familiar with concept design through to final product manufacturing, ideally from a switchgear background and willing to lead a team, undertaking an end-to-end approach.
As Engineering Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:Taking a lead role in design and managing the team
Liaising from design through to inhouse fabrication as well as externally with clients and suppliers
We're looking for an Engineering Design Manager with:
HNC/HND with relevant experience or BSc/BEng Electrical / Mechanical Graduate
Experience using SolidWorks to produce unambiguous manufacturing and assembly drawings
Familiarity of type testing switchgear including dielectric, short circuit, pd and mechanical
