We are looking to appoint a Band 7 Advanced Practitioner Dietitian to support the the Children's Cystic Fibrosis team at Nottingham Children's Hospital.

The children's cystic fibrosis dietitian works as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering care to outpatients and inpatients with cystic fibrosis in Nottingham and in network clinics across shared care centres.

The dietitian works with families from diagnosis in infants through to transition of young people to adult CF clinics.

The role includes providing expert advice on the introduction and use of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy and other CF specific medications, diet and feeding related issues and monitoring and assessment of nutritional status.

Cystic fibrosis causes a range of complications and liaison is often required with other specialist colleagues, e.g. Paediatric Diabetes & Gastroenterology.

Training and education are a key part of the post, including development of local guidelines, teaching staff at NUH and dietetic colleagues in shared care centres, as well as involvement in work at national level.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who has an interest in working in a specialist and learning-rich environment, who can demonstrate compassion and empathy for our children, young people and their families.
