We are delighted to announce a brilliant opportunity to work with a worldwide organisation and market leader, with a site specialising in the abrasive manufacturing industry.

Our client are looking for a motivated and driven, Junior Quality Assurance Technicianto join their team in the Bangor, Wales.

The main purpose of this 3 month contract is to assist with the Quality Management System and ensure continuous improvement.

You may have the possibility to extend / make permanent.

Responsibilities:

Performs standard tests, inspections, and other tasks to determine specific characteristics of materials, inprocess and final product samples as required to ensure quality products.
Performs mathematical calculations of test data in order to compare results to standards and identify variances. Interprets Statistical Process Control Charts.
Participates in the establishment of new product specifications and the solution of defects resulting from existing products and processes.
Documents and interprets test results, maintains records, and prepares detailed reports as required. Communicates test results to appropriate staff. Responds to standard inquiries.
Supports Quality audits / inspections within production departments as required
Completes special requests from engineers, group leaders and/or supervisor. Participates as a team member on problem solving teams.

About You:

Good level of education required
Quality qualification desirable but not essential
Good manual dexterity
Ability to carry out a range of repetitive tests in a repeatable manner every day.
Previous experience in a production testing or Quality Technician / Assurance role an advantage
Solid IT skills (Word, EXCEL, PDF) and ability to support customer communications were needed
Knowledge of SAP an advantage
Ability to work with mínimal supervision once trained
