Role overview

  • An opportunity has become available for a CNC Turner at ABG in Northampton. The role will involve programming, setting and operating our CNC Lathes, to ensure the efficient manufacturing of finished parts.

About the Role

  • To program, set and operate a variety of CNC Lathes daily
  • Produce finished parts from customer drawings
  • To meet cell output levels and make sure they are always optimised
  • Monitor quality and ensure completed goods are suitable for dispatch
  • Complete periodic inspections on larger batch orders

About You

  • Must have experience of online and offline programming
  • Experience of programming Multi-Axis/Twin Spindle machines would be highly advantageous, however not essential
  • Experience of programming Sliding Head machines would be highly advantageous, however not essential
  • Must have good attention to detail and strive for 100% accuracy
  • Ideally served a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical or Production Engineering would be desirable but not essential
