We are already delivering on our plans to create over one million square metres of employment space, 20,000 jobs, and 10,000 new homes connected by new and enhanced infrastructure and transport links, and the regeneration of our town centres.

Following the promotion of the previous post holder, we are now seeking our next Head of Planning to continue the delivery our ambitious and excited growth agenda.
You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, supporting us to deliver a portfolio of nationally enviable strategic sites, various town centre and rail corridor masterplans and leading on the development of our new Local Plan and other important plans and strategies.
As Head of Planning you will lead a high-performing, transformative and supportive organisation, steadfast in their contribution to the region and creating a 'place for everyone'.
You will inspire trust and confidence amongst elected members, the private sector and our investor partners and be commercially minded and delivery focused with a strong track record of delivery and building relationship with key partners across public and private sectors that support delivery.
You'll also be a keen advocate for our borough, representing us in external meetings with a variety of organisations including the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and government agencies.
