Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Software Engineer/ Paltform Engineer with proficiency in Go.
My client is a highly successful algorithmic trading business with global reach and considerable market share of trading activity in the markets they operate.
They succeed in the market with cutting-edge technology and the latest computational techniques as well as deep understanding of market dynamics and the assets they trade.nThe role sits in an engineering team that team designs, develops, and maintains infrastructure for the organisation using a combination of open-source software, and custom code.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong core development skills, enjoys working with multiple technologies and deep customisation.
Responsibilities include:
nImproving platforms for smooth interaction and utilization of infrastructure by other teams through design, development, and ongoing enhancements.nEstablishing guidelines to reduce redundancy company-wide and fostering collaboration with fellow technologists to encourage reuse.nStreamlining manual tasks by automating intricate processes across multiple systems.nProviding guidance and support to fellow team members in maintaining and servicing developed systems.nAssessing the suitability of modern technology and development methodologies for integration into the company's operations.nEnsuring the upkeep of existing infrastructure and tools as needed.nParticipating in discussions related to third-party systems from a commercial perspective.
Essential Attributes:
nProficiency in programming languages particularly Go but also Python or CnDemonstratable experience and passion for automationnStrong experience using Linux (RedHat / Debian), TCP/IP networking, and storage technologies.nExcellent experience using git, IDEs, CI/CD, and test-driven development techniques.
Bonus skills:
nDocker or similar technologynGrafana, Prometheus or similarnTrading systems experiencenLogging tools such as Logstash and Elasticsearch.nPuppet, Ansible, Terraform or similarnInfrastructure experience, VMware, Networking, Storage and hardware
