    Clinical Nurse Specialist at KIMS Hospital Maidstone

    Bank | £ per hour

    Are you a Registered Nurse with expertise in Breast Cancer Care? Do you desire more time to dedicate to your patients? Are you seeking a flexible work-life balance?

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and seasoned Breast Care Nurse to join our Team due to increased patient activity. As a crucial member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care in alignment with KIMS' vision and strategy. Your responsibilities will involve working flexibly as the service expands, offering clinical expertise, support, and guidance to all patients visiting the breast service.

    This position is on a bank basis, entailing a zero-hour contract to cover absence and patient volume.

    Main Duties of the Job

    • To assist at the breast clinics in supporting and assessing patients and their requirements
    • Supporting patients throughout their journey including surgical admission and post-operative care
    • Ensuring patients comprehend their treatment options to make informed decisions
    • Contributing positively to the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient-focused care
    • Working in a clinical capacity to guarantee that the service to Breast patients is planned, monitored, delivered, and evaluated based on evidence-based practices

      Qualifications

      Essential

      • Registered nurse with extensive experience in breast care
      • Evidence of post-registration professional development in a specialized area (e.g., breast care module, counseling course)

        • Experience in delivering challenging news and relevant training
        • Ability to work independently and autonomously
        • Ideally, experience in the private healthcare sector, though not mandatory
        • Experience in developing new services or innovative approaches to work
